When I visit the Apple I always like to take a little time to head over to Times Square.
I know, I know – it often smells pretty bad and it’s almost always teeming with tourists. But there’s something special about that small section of NYC that inspires me and I always try and spend a little time there even though it’s well, Times Square.
This time we went to NYC in January, right before the pandemic hit. But we were back home in Chicago before the virus really ramped up across the nation.
My prayers go out to all the New Yorker’s (and to everyone) hit so hard by Covid19. The Apple and everywhere else will be back !! God bless the Apple

photo notes: Most of these images are from a Nikon Z6 with Nikon 24-70 f4 zoom – all hand held. I shot some 120fps footage (with the Z6) while walking through Times Square, and I’ll post that footage soon.
I think I’ve finally given up on point and shoot cameras – even the newer ones with 1″ sensors. Most digital point and shoot cameras that I’ve used in the last 3 years or so, just aren’t that great in my opinion.
I came to that conclusion after shooting full frame digital for the last 15 years and shooting the last 3 years (of those 15 years) with my Fuji GFX 50S.
