above: Elevated train trestle columns – Chicago
construction under I-94 at Ashland – Chicago
First of all, thanks to all the new followers. I’ve been publishing this blog for more than 7 years now and it’s still a thrill when I get a note that there are more people interested in my work.
Usually I try to make each post about more than my images – I like to connect everything together with text, images, links, quotes and so on. You can click on the images in each post (except the header image for some reason) and you’ll be taken to other related work I’ve done, or to some ephemera that may or may not be relevant. It’s important to me to keep everything short and sweet, because I figure everybody is as busy as I am.
What connects these two images together (aside from being vertical, black and white photographs of different kinds of columns) is that they just looked good together in Lightroom. And I made them both last year around this time of year in Chicago.
