One day last year I unearthed a metal halide bulb that I bought at a flea market. On the bulb end, there was an indentation in the glass which created a protrusion inside the bulb which secured a metal hoop. I’m not sure what the metal hoop was for but on the other side, it looked interesting through the Zeiss lens. So I poured some oil in the indentation and photographed it.

The image at the top was a small bubble level, photographed with the same camera and lens combination – Zeiss 100mm ZF macro lens on a Nikon D810.
