a flaming heart

These two images were from a test I did with a K5600 Joker 400 HMI awhile ago.  I like the longer shutter speeds I can get with continuous light and the Joker 400 lets me do that. With 400 watts of HMI light through the supplied Fresnel lens and some Rosco diffusion,  I was able to shoot at ISO 400 and  use a 1/2 second exposure to smear the flames a little.

For its size and weight the Joker 400 is an awesome daylight HMI fixture, and with the 4 supplied lenses to put in front of the 400 watt bulb, the possibilities are endless.
