Tampa tree

A few years ago I had to attend a wedding in Tampa, FL. It was hot, humid and I didn’t want to be there. I couldn’t find a decent seafood restaurant and I couldn’t swim because the ocean was  too cold. So I was pretty grumpy while I was there.

But I brought my cameras of course. That’s often my outlet – my escape.  The fact that I can always wander off and find something to shoot and loose myself in the glorious fun of image making makes me happy.

But didn’t really find anything to shoot in Tampa until the last day when I looked out my bathroom window and saw this.

I shot this on 35mm color negative film with a Nikon F5.
